I’ve admired the work of freelance illustrator Emma Block for some time now.
And today I thought I’d share a selection of her wonderful floral-inspired creations with you…
Aren’t they charming?
I love their almost retro feel. For me, they conjure up images of the 1951 Gene Kelly film, ‘An American in Paris’.
As for a little bit of background about Emma…
Based in London, she graduated with a First Class Honours in BA Illustration at Middlesex University.
And with a client list which includes Anthropologie, The British Heart Foundation and Time Out, her work is inspired by old photos, vintage clothes and travel.
Earlier this year, she created a floral illustration at Your London Florist’s shop. And here’s the blog post she wrote about the design.
Her beautiful illustrations can also be found in a recipe book called ‘Tea and Cake‘. And apparently, she likes charity shops and very sharp pencils!
If you’d like to see more of Emma’s work, do pop over to her website.
